360-Degree Protection: Provides 360-degree shielding of the incision site, which helps prevent infection and protects against contamination during surgery.

Flexible Structure: The device, particularly the bottom ring, is designed with a flexible structure (using polyurethane film) that is easy to pass through small incisions, making it ideal for minimally invasive or laparoscopic procedures.

Uniform Retraction & Exposure: It provides even, arc-shaped tension to the wound edge, which helps in maximizing exposure, reducing tissue damage, and providing a clearer surgical view.

Maintains Moisture & Reduces Bleeding: The polyurethane film wraps around the wound lips, maintaining necessary moisture at the incision site and helping to buffer against bleeding.

Tumor/Infection Prevention: Designed to reduce the risk of incision infection (Class II and III wounds) and prevent potential tumor transportation/seeding on the wound.

Available in Multiple Sizes: The product line offers various specifications, including fixed height and non-fixed height options, to cater to different surgical needs.
Structure: It consists of a dual-ring design (upper and lower rings) connected by a polyurethane film.

Flexibility & Insertion: The bottom ring is made of a flexible material, allowing it to be easily passed through small incisions.

Fixation: The upper ring is designed to fold in, on, and out to easily roll down and secure the device to the incision edges, with options for fixed or unfixed heights to suit different surgical needs.

Protection Function: The polyurethane film provides 360° circumferential, atraumatic retraction, protecting the incision from contamination and damage.

Moisture Management: The device helps maintain moisture at the incision site.

Versatility: The TCQGA series is suitable for small incision surgery and is designed to expand the surgical field of view.
1. Selection and Preparation

Size Selection: Based on pre-operative assessment of the incision length and abdominal wall thickness, the surgeon selects the appropriate sized protector.
Saline Soak (Optional): Some clinicians recommend submerging the device in saline solution before use to ease insertion.
Insertion: Once the incision is made and access to the peritoneal cavity is achieved, the device is inserted. The flexible distal (inner) ring is pinched together and inserted through the incision, positioning it against the inner aspect of the abdominal wall.

2. Application and Retraction

Positioning: The internal ring is placed securely within the incision site.
Rolling/Adjustment: The external (proximal) ring is rolled inward successive times. This tightens the plastic membrane, providing circumferential, even retraction of the incision margins.
Confirmation: The surgeon confirms the device is securely in place and that no visceral tissue is entrapped under the inner ring.

3. Usage During Surgery

Visualization: The device provides maximum exposure and a clear view of the surgical site.
Protection: The sheath isolates the incision from surrounding tissues and contamination.
Manipulation: The device can be used to hold the surgical area open, eliminating the need for metallic retractors that can cause tissue damage.

4. Removal

Timing: The protector is removed at the end of the operation, just before the final abdominal wall closure.
Technique: The surgeon reaches into the incision, grasps the internal flexible ring, and pulls it out.
Disposal: It is a single-use device and is discarded after removal.
