Setup: Place the device on a level surface, connect the power, and switch it on.
Preparation: Place the Petri dish onto the illuminated, gridded, or black background pad. Adjust the magnifying glass for optimal, glare-free viewing of small or dense colonies.
Calibration/Sensitivity: Adjust the pressure sensitivity dial (if applicable) to ensure the pen registers a count correctly.
Counting: Use the provided marker pen to tap each colony on the underside or lid of the Petri dish. Each tap produces a beep, a visual mark, and advances the digital display.
Recording: Once all colonies are marked, record the final total from the LED display.
Reset: Press the reset button for the next sample.
