The SonoScape E2 is categorized as an economy portable. Color Doppler ultrasound system that is designed for abdominal, cardiac, gynecological, musculoskeletal, obstetrical, pediatric, small parts, cephalic, urological, veterinary, and vascular exams. The SonoScape E2 integrated a number of advanced imaging technologies, such as the full digital broadband width beam former, wideband dynamic range, and multi-beam parallel processing. The SonoScape E2 is a fully equipped ultrasound, from very basic clinical screenings to in-depth and full exam profiles with high-end options such as Auto IMT, Spatial Compounding, Auto Image Optimization, Stand-by Mode, Enhanced Needle Visualization, Panoramic imaging with 2 standard probe ports, and a 15.6″ LED monitor. Unlike the SonoScape E1, the Sonoscape E2 meets higher customer requirements in modes such as continuous Doppler, Tissue Doppler, Simultaneous, and Bi-directional Doppler modes. The Sonoscape E2 shares the same system architecture with the Sonoscape E1; however, the Sonoscape E2 incorporates more options that enable it to better cover clinical applications and workflow.

The advanced and proprietary architecture is integrated in the SonoScape E2, enabling support for high-end options and covering a wide range of applications. Based on flexible and stable Linux operation and interfaces, the SonoScape E2 can be maintained and updated by simple software updates. The SonoScape E2 is one of the most valuable devices for veterinary application in the market, with specific animal body marks and image presets like the Sonoscape E1. In addition, the Sonoscape E2 has a large range of transducer selections for humans, including 3P-A and 7P-B for adult and pediatric cardiac, respectively, and 3C-A for general imaging. Due to its positioning and price point, the image penetration is acceptable, but compared to its overall good resolution in the near and mid fields, providing better penetration for both linear and convex probes in the future version will be key to expanding market acceptability. Also, compared to the Mindray Z5 and Z6, the SonoScape E2 has better and much clearer pixel expression and margin definition. Although it is a low-end portable system, its Doppler performance is good and provides acceptable sensitivity and resolution
